Ken Muscato, Canandaigua, NY, weaved his way through the finals field and emerged at the top dog at the Kenmore Scratch Tournament, Sunday at Kenmore Lanes.

Muscato rolled to victory in the four-man finals match, besting runner-up Pete Maduri, Tonawanda, NY, in the final.  Muscato rolled a 241 final game, while Maduri posted 185 to take the second spot.

Muscato earned $1400 for his victory, while Maduri pocketed $650 with his second place finish.  Steve Meyer, Rochester, NY, was just clipped for third with 184 in the final match, while Mike Johnson, Niagara Falls, NY, was just behind in 4th with 180 in the title match.

Muscato rolled the 4th highest qualifying total in the three-squad event, rolling 900 to advance into the eliminator-style finals.  Buffalo's Adam Collura grabbed the top spot with a 983 four-game total, but was elimiated in the first round of the finals.

In the title match, it was an early strike barrage from both Muscato and Maduri that separated themselves from the field.  However, as Maduri struggled through the middle of the match, Muscato continued to pour it on and take the title.

The Kenmore Scratch event attracted a field of 84 bowlers, with 17 bowlers advancing to the finals.
