Two months later, the Pinacle group has still not made an announcement as to whether the future of the PWBA is something that they will be a part of or not. However, Sanders and Pinacle are apparently nearing a decision.
During a PWBA regional event in Little Rock, Arkansas October 10th and 11th, Sanders met with some of the lady pros, and disclosed some of the details of his business plan for the ladies tour, should the group find all of the pieces in place for continuation of the tour.
Bowlers Journal International reported on it's website that Sanders' deadline for making a final decision is December 10th, but he feels that he will make an announcement by November 15th.
While the shape of any tour for the ladies is uncertain, Sanders does have a proven track record of success in tournament operations. He has been behind many successful amateur events, such as the Mini-Eliminator series and International Eliminator tournaments held in Las Vegas, and also has been behind several senior events, such as the Brunswick Senior World Open.
Sanders has hinted at the possibility of combining the Ladies tour along with a men's Senior Tour, a possibility that he has considered for some time. However, according to BJI, Sanders acknowledged that women's sports programming is a bigger attraction for ESPN as well as other TV outlets.
If Pinacle does in fact find everything in place for a successful ladies tour re-start, Sanders expects to sustain an extensive schedule for the players, and to employ a staff large enough to push his organization into the public eye.
