Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame to Honor Liz Johnson Among 12 New Members

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame announced Wednesday the 12 member class
of 2015, in what will be the 25th class
inducted into the Hall Of Fame since
it's inception in 1991.
Recent USBC Queens champion Liz Johnson
of Cheektowaga was announced as one of
12 new members who will be officially
introduced this fall at the GBSHOF
dinner.The announcement was made by board president Therese Forton-Barnes in the Ballroom of the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center in downtown Buffalo.
Johnson adds yet another honor to an
outstanding year which has also seen her
inducted into the USBC Hall of Fame.
Former NHL star Aaron Miller, fellow
class of 2015 member and one of several
inductees on hand for the announcement,
offered remarks on behalf of the class.
Miller played 14 seasons in the NHL and
also earned an Olympic Silver Medal.
